Gathering Once More

Rekindling the embers of ancestral wisdom; renewing sacred connections

A Message from our Co-Founder

The wisdom of our ancestors speaks through the land, guiding us toward renewal.

“We have been divided into many nations, separated into countless tribes, dispersed across countless communities, but the drum that beats within each of us resonates with the same powerful rhythm. This is why Indigenia exists—not to ‘help’ or to ‘save,’ but to fan those embers, to strengthen what was never truly broken, to reconnect what was only temporarily separated.” â€” Medicine Bear, Co-Founder

The Indigenia Foundation stands as a dedicated ally to Native American and Indigenous communities, working to strengthen and honor ancestral wisdom while building pathways to self-determined futures.

Commitment
& Approach

Like the Three Sisters—corn, beans, and squash—that grow stronger together, our work flourishes through a sacred partnership: Education, Economic Growth, and Culture.  Health provides the fertile soil, nurturing the roots that allow Education to reach toward knowledge, Economic Growth to spread and strengthen, and Culture to bloom and bear the seeds of tomorrow. Together, these interwoven pillars create an abundant harvest for our communities.

Education

Pathways to Excellence

Empowering Native students through scholarships, mentorship, career workshops, cultural preservation, and technology education and research.

Economic Growth

Indigenous Prosperity

Supporting economic growth through micro-grants, entrepreneurship workshops, a business incubator, marketplace for Native products, and local job creation.

Culture

Legacy Keepers

Preserving Indigenous culture through language revitalization, traditional arts, storytelling, sacred site advocacy, and youth engagement.

About

The Indigenia Foundation works in respectful partnership with tribal governments, local and state governments, cultural knowledge keepers, educational institutions, and community organizations. We believe lasting change comes from within communities, guided by those who understand their unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations.

Our holistic initiatives weave together education, economic development, and cultural preservation, recognizing that these elements are inseparable in thriving Indigenous communities:

  • Scholarships and educational programs that incorporate Indigenous perspectives
  • Business grants, entrepreneurship training, and market access for Native-owned enterprises
  • Language revitalization projects and cultural documentation efforts
  • Community-based economic development strategies that align with tribal values
  • Leadership development for emerging Indigenous changemakers

Our History

While formally established in 2025, the Indigenia Foundation emerges from a vision that has been carefully developed and refined over nearly a decade. Our founders’ longstanding work with Indigenous communities has shaped our approach, informed by deep relationships and collective wisdom. Now as a formal organization, we are implementing this vision through initiatives focused on establishing sustainable Native-owned businesses, supporting Indigenous students in their educational journeys, and contributing to the revitalization of endangered Indigenous languages. We combine time-tested methodologies with innovative strategies tailored to the unique strengths and aspirations of each community we serve.

Vision for the Future

We envision resilient Indigenous communities where cultural traditions flourish alongside sustainable economic growth. Where Indigenous youth connect deeply with their heritage while developing the skills to navigate contemporary challenges. Where tribal sovereignty is strengthened through economic self-determination and cultural renewal.

The Indigenia Foundation walks alongside Indigenous communities as they chart their own course toward this vision, offering resources, partnership, and advocacy while honoring the wisdom and resilience that has sustained Native peoples since time immemorial.

The Indigenia Foundation acknowledges that we work on the traditional territories of many sovereign Indigenous nations. We are committed to advancing reconciliation through meaningful action and recognize the historical injustices that continue to impact Native communities today.

Together, we Thrive.

Leadership & Community Guidance

Our Board of Directors, predominantly Indigenous, ensures our strategic direction authentically represents the voices and aspirations of the communities we serve. Additionally, our Indigenous Community Advisory Board (ICAB), comprising elders, educators, and community leaders, provides essential cultural insights and strategic advice, reinforcing our commitment to equity, authenticity, and community engagement.

Together, we build strong partnerships with tribal entities, educational institutions, and cultural leaders, ensuring our efforts resonate deeply within Indigenous communities.

We empower Indigenous individuals, students, businesses, and communities through impactful education, innovative economic development, meaningful cultural preservation, and culturally grounded technological education. By providing targeted resources, we foster resilience, cultural pride, and long-term sustainability.

We believe in collaborative growth—building opportunities, fostering education, preserving culture, and guiding technological innovation so that together, we all thrive. Join us in our journey toward empowered, resilient, and culturally vibrant Indigenous communities.
